Everything old is new again. Including my post. I have a new boss and new responsibilities that has kept me massively busy but I am looking forward to October !!

I tried the recipe on the back of the bag from King Arthur Baking Company‘s ‘cinnamon sweet bits‘: a cinnamon bread. It‘s yeasted and the recipe is written for a white bread, but I turned it into a wheat bread and of course, cut down on the sugar. The cinnamon bits are really good. Also, I love these silicone baking mats! I didn‘t know that they had the logo on them as well.
My KAF order came in! I‘m excited to try the 6 grain blend in the next round of bread I make. Husband picked out the cinnamon bits to try…I‘ll try the recipe on the back of the bag first. A word on the liners…silicone is a baker‘s best friend! These are a game changer. And the boiled cider…my friends, you simply can‘t live without it. It‘s worth the money! I can‘t wait to visit Vermont and go to the KAF store one day.
Have you ever made a ‘Thunder Cake‘? I love this story and the challenge! Meanwhile I imagine that the ingredients are made with all the elements of a storm, and that a storm is happening inside the cake…

Churros Cake! It is moist, delicious, and smelled amazing in the oven. I tweaked the sugar in the main batter from 1 cup down to 1/2 cup.

Book read to Henry - I‘m aiming to read books to him until he can read books himself.

The Mr.'s building a new "dining room" to go with the new outdoor reading spot ? (the whole backyard is a work in progress so ignore the yuck)
Many of the recipes sound and look delicious! The author includes personal notes for each recipe, which I really enjoy. This is the first recipe I tried (#mtcookbook success!), but I have it on display, tempting me to try others!
This is the Brown Sugar Almond Pound Cake that I served at Mother‘s Day brunch with macerated berries and whipped yogurt.
Just some of the bookcases full of books at my friend Nancy‘s house. I made my hosts a pie in a Zingerman‘s pie plate.
