TLDR: I hardly ever give out 5 stars, but this book was exciting, engaging, and actually thrilling. For the first time in a really long time, I felt that “I can‘t wait to get home to read that book!” feeling. The writing is modern, intelligent, and even at some points quite scary. This is a book about betrayal, suicide and murder. Joe Thorne's sister, Annie, went missing. She was 8 years old. Joe has returned to his hometown as he got an email that said that things were happening again. Joe seems to know who did it. This book fell short. a psychological suspense thriller with supernatural. I was let down by the ending. The Chalk Man was better!
