This was an incredible look into the Italian resistance and the women involved!

Going into this book, I didn‘t know a whole lot about what went on in Italy during WWII. That being said, I learned so much from this book, not just about these 4 courageous women, but also about the war in general.

A look at the Grand Duchess Anna Feodorovna or Julie of Saxe-Coburg. She was known by both names. She decided to live life on her own terms after a terrible marriage to Konstantin Feodorovna.

Rose is planning a wedding for a relative from St. Olaf, and when Dorothy‘s date to the wedding turns up dead, she becomes the prime suspect. This was just a good, silly time, and I loved it! I‘m not saying that the story was groundbreaking or anything, but I think the voices of the Girls were captured nicely. Lots of 80s nostalgia and references to things that actually happened on the show!

My May #bookspin list is finally ready I think. I've got a few extra bookclub commitments this month, we'll see if I can pull them all off...

That was fun! Aelis still talks to herself too much and I keep losing track of the various types of magic etc etc, and the twist at a certain spot didn't surprise me much, but somehow... fun.

And finally, a #BookSpinBingo.

This is a funny caper type book. I loved all the jokes. I have no idea how this made it to a prize shortlist but whatever.
