I can‘t seem to sit down and read with my eyeballs this week, but I made it through some audio material while I did stuff like transform this boring little Ikea table into an interesting nightstand!
A friend discovered WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU? by chance last week, loved it, and recced it to me. Now we‘re both running around telling people they‘ve gotta read it. It‘s illuminating for anyone who wants to better understand society. #audiocrafting
I found this wooden cello puzzle the day after I did the Big Ben one, and I worked it up while I continued my audio WAY OF KINGS reread. It was quick and fun, and now I‘ve gotta decide who to give it to. I don‘t think I know any hardcore cello enthusiasts.
I‘ve also gotta find other things to do while I listen to the last 30% of the book, because now I‘m all out of wooden puzzles. On to regular jigsaw puzzles, I guess? #audiocrafting
I got an express audio copy of THE WAY OF KINGS, which is a LOT to listen to in one week, which is why I‘ve done three wooden puzzles in the last three days and also scrubbed the whole kitchen.
This light-up Big Ben (& associated tower) went to my mum, who‘s mighty taken with it. #audiocrafting
#Audiocrafting! I‘m a huge minions fan and put together this kit while listening. The instructions are only in Japanese (I believe), which I do not read or speak, which made it a little more challenging, but I was up to the task! Even Bindi wants a look! 😂
Just building a tiny house for my aunt and her grandkids, as you do.
I like HONEY AND SPICE overall, especially now I‘m a fair ways in, but the setup almost put me off it at first. Even though it‘s extremely British, Kikiora makes sense of her university via so many stereotypes it feels like a US high school novel, and y‘all know those are a hard sell for me. There‘s a serious meat market vibe to the dating aspect, too. #audiocrafting

I tried Diamond Art and I'm loving it! It's a perfect relaxing activity for #AudioCrafting. So far, I've made 3 coasters out of a set of 8.

I‘m doing a stitchalong project with some other women online.
I treated myself to a new book nook kit as an early birthday present. I think this speakeasy is my favourite one yet.
Likewise, I‘ve enjoyed each of Helen Hoang‘s books more than the one before, and THE HEART PRINCIPLE absolutely blew me away. It‘s a gripping dive into toxic family structures and the intense pressure that comes when the people who should love and protect you refuse to even consider your needs. Wow. #audiocrafting
I hadn‘t heard of BAD SUMMER PEOPLE until it turned up in my library‘s Express section, but I love a book about rich people behaving badly so I jumped on it. I got through the first 50% while I did various hands-on-brain-off stuff earlier, and I feel good about all my choices. It‘s like east coast Jackie Collins on vacation.
One of the things I did while I listened was block this baby shawl. I‘m happy with that result, too. #audiocrafting
