AvidReader25 @NataliePatalie If you need more New Orleans books, here‘s a few: Nine Lives, Out of the Easy, Five Days at Memorial, Plus there are short stories by Capote and Faulkner set there. Make sure you visit the carousel bar! I just visited last year. 5y

I remember reading this from my mom's collection. A little soapy and melodramatic, but it kept my attention. Aaron Spelling turned it into a horrible TV series in 1983, starting James Brolin, Connie Sellecca and Betty Davis. One critic described it as "The Love Boat on dry land"

RamsFan1963 @Cinfhen The book was set in New Orleans, but the TV series moved it to San Francisco for some reason, maybe easier to film location shots. Another case of the book being better than the adaptation. 5y
