Mehso-so

Robertson does her homework and then some in this book, providing a lot of detail about the murders and the Borden trial. This is a much more academic writing style than a narrative nonfiction style. Nothing new presented in this, but I would recommend this to anyone who wants to read about Lizzie Borden and the trial specifically. Thanks to #NetGalley and Simon and Schuster for an ARC. Part of #ARCMadDash

I vowed to read ARCs this month for #ARCMadDash , but my physical book reading has been very limited the last couple weeks. I‘m finishing up The Johnstown Flood for #JohnstownRead , but I really wanted to start this one. #Zeke is joining me for a cuddly Caturday morning. #catsoflitsy

#ARCMadDash is one week away! I‘m devoting most of my reading time to NetGalley and other ARCs I need to read.

My goal is to read and review at least 5 ARCs.

Hope you can join me!

CouronneDhiver Fun idea! I‘ve never received an ARC before but it seems like people who do are always running behind. 😊 6y
Melissa_J @CouronneDhiver I used to blog and received ARCs via NetGalley or through publishers for blog book tours. I went through a major reading slump because reading ARCs, no matter how good the book, became too much like a job. I quit blogging and now read solely for fun with no pressure to review in a timely manner. My decision greatly improved my reading life 😊 6y
Librarybelle @CouronneDhiver Thanks! And yes, I think it is a curse with ARCs...they‘re so addicting, so you fall behind so quickly! 6y

BlameJennyJane Great idea! I‘m working on a few myself! 6y
Librarybelle @Melissa_J It‘s definitely good to walk away when reading is no longer fun! I‘m happy you‘re enjoying reading again! 😁 6y
KarouBlue Yaaaass! Great idea! 6y

The Sentence Is Death | Anthony Horowitz

Thanks to @Graciouswarriorprincess posting her grabs from #NetGalley , I discovered this one from Horowitz is now available for requesting. I unashamedly squealed when I requested it and immediately received a download (I have no idea how I could be so lucky!). I just may have to read this as one of my #ARCMadDash titles!

Jdav9613 I really want to read The Magpie Murders, as well. 6y
Librarybelle @Jdav9613 I loved The Magpie Murders! 6y

Repost for @Librarybelle :
If you‘re like me, you have a lot of unread ARCs and e-galleys waiting to be reviewed.

I thought it would be fun to dedicate March to catching up on these books. I know I will have to read a couple non-ARCs in March, but I‘ll read mostly ARCs. I‘d love you to join me too! This is not a competition; set your own goals. Cheer on others. Use #ARCMadDash and tag me, please (because I‘d love to cheer you on too).

MatchlessMarie I love this! Glad to know I'm not the only one. 6y

julesG Oh, good idea! 6y

DGRachel Ooh, yes. This is a good idea. I‘ve sadly neglected my NetGalley shelf. 6y
Librarybelle @julesG @Redwritinghood @hes7 @DGRachel I have no willpower when it comes to requesting from NetGalley. I need a push like this to get through some of my backlog! 6y
julesG Same here. So many interesting books to request, and I'm going to be rejected anyway,... And then I have 20 new books on the shelf 6y
LapReader I‘m in! 6y
Librarybelle @LapReader It should be a fun way to get through the backlog of books! 6y
ferskner YES. I fear that I'll never be caught up on my print and digital galleys, but this is a good thing to concentrate on instead of library books. 6y
