Finished belatedly for #Roll100 in September (#41 Any Book of Stories) I both read & listened to it, having been drawn to it as a #BOTM selection months ago. This is where #BOTM gets it right, selecting Diane Oliver, an author who tragically died in a motorcycle accident in 1966 at just 22 with 4 stories published + 2 more posthumously. This collection is 14 stories & while not all of them were perfect, they are amazingly good & ⬇️

pickI got surprisingly attached to these characters very quickly. I picked this up knowing how much I enjoyed Book Lovers, and then this smacked me in the face with how much better it actually was. I'm off to find Beach Read to see if it holds up. #41-202=

This is about 4 women that became friends, these are their stories about their infidelities. I think they justified their infidelities instead of being honest with their spouses and the May, lack of communication. But it is also about friendship and at the end of the novel, each of them grew as a person. 3⭐️I almost DNF in those first chapters. Nominated in the Planeta Prize🤷🏽♀️
