I enjoyed this one. It a predictable in some parts, maybe too long but I was in my perfect autumn mood. There are gothic elements and family drama.
pickI started this book long time ago but never finished it. It is a classic, more character driven so different from the movie. I enjoyed it because it is so good how it is described this transformation between what you were and what you have become. A constant struggling between these two beings-inside yourself. Strange/weird relationship between Claudia and Louis🤔So many deaths, are they really dead? Book 2 is waiting for me. 4⭐️
so-soA story about Zuhour, her relationship with Bint Aamirs. Story goes from past to present to see how Zuhour will adapt her life in Britain. During the past narrative you will see their cultural roots. The story has many beautiful passages but I was sometimes confused which character was narrating. I found loose beautiful parts without connection. Maybe a re-read will help me to understand it better. 3⭐️
pick2nd book in YA fantasy. I really liked this book more that the first one. We will see new characters and how and why the Rose Society is created, who will be the members of this new society. I liked these new characters. You can‘t trust anyone and everyone has a purpose to act and behave they way they do. At the beginning was a little slow but then it was pure action. I can‘t wait to read the third one. What is going to happen? I don‘t know😱
pickA couple drama, how Avery and Ellen marriage will be affected after a third person arrived to their lives. It is about infidelity, betrayals but also about second chances to yourself, about friends support. I love that ending, a new perspective, a new start. My first novel by this author and I loved the writing style. I was focused in the story, in the dynamic of all these characters, expecting what would be their decisions. Couldn‘t put it down.

pick2nd book in the series. I expected more from this book but in general I liked it not loved it. DeMarco will take some leave with Jayme. He is still managing what happened in the first book (no spoiler) and is considering retirement. But during this leave, he is asked to resolved a cold case: 7 young girls were murdered one each year, only their bones were found and the apparently responsible wasn‘t incarcerated or maybe was someone else. ⬇️
pickSecond book in this series. We are going to know more about some characters specifically about Ronan. There are some funny parts between Noah and Blue and Gansey and Blue and Maura and The Gray Man. That Calla can be so direct, no filter when she speaks😂and there are other situations regarding of what Gansey is looking for. However, an unpopular opinion, I found some repetitive parts with this character Kavinsky and the cars🙄3.5/3.8⭐️

Mixed feelings with this novel. Alice married John without knowing him well and moved with him to Tangier, a convenient marriage for John. But Alice is not adapting well to this new life. Then a supposedly friend, uninvited, arrived to visit Alice. Something happened between Alice and Lucy when they were in college. Lucy seems obsessed with Alice⬇️
pickWhat I liked about this book was the relationship between Leena and Eileen, her grandmother. So cute. Not only both of them swap houses but also responsibilities in their communities. They will grow with these experiences, they will heal emotional scars. You will love Eileen who at age 79 she “still can open jars” as she says, is in charge of the neighborhood watch committee and who can be active in many ways. So optimistic! I loved her! 3.5/3.8⭐️
