I finally had to bring home this beautifully illustrated version of The Night Before Christmas from work! It has been one of our best-selling holiday books over the years, and I decided it was time to keep a copy for myself. ❤️🎄🎅 Merry Christmas!

I‘ve baked all day and now not a creature is stirring. Gingerbread cake, mincemeat cookies, tourtière pie. A plate for Santa with sweets, milk, candy canes for him to take home to Mrs Claus, and a bit of strawberry astronaut ice cream. Bunny asleep by the tree.

We're stuck in quarantine and waiting for Covid test results (95% sure I have it... 😕), so it's a very quiet Christmas this year... but I can't complain about snuggling with my loves and reading some good stories!

I overly enjoyed finding this video. 😸 The Boogyman (WWE) reads 'The Night Before Christmas' illustrated edition of the classic. Counted for audiobook and holiday read.

I mean it‘s a classic I‘ve read every year to my oldest and now to my youngest. 😊💛

One of my childhood books. It has a few bars of music at the back but the majority of the text is A Visit from St. Nicholas. It has photo illustrations by Tadasu Izawa, who modelled the characters in clay. It‘s a delightful version that I have fond memories of and I enjoy re-reading it.

I can‘t believe I‘ve never read this before. A cute Christmas story.

The story is about Santa's visit. There's nothing wrong with the book but I felt meh about it. The art falls on the more realistic side and the text on each page is very small, almost like this book should be read to your toddler. Also, yup, Santa is creepy looking 😂😂 #tmskellington #wintergames

#UCFLAE3414SU19 This TL depicts a mans night before Christmas and run in with old Saint Nick himself! It is a classic story and makes for an amazing S or RA... I would even like to see this as a DR perhaps. It describes the man going to bed and then being awoken by a loud noise only to see the reindeer and jolly old elf deliver toys to his very house.

I love the poem anyway (as a kid, I always appreciated that Moore‘s Santa had ashes and soot on his clothes and hadn‘t managed some weirdly pristine slide down a chimney) but Mary Engelbreit‘s art makes this event better. It‘s cozy, it‘s cheerful, it‘s fun and there are gems to spot on each page. Highly recommended for everyone & on that note: A merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. 😊🎄😊

We had a lovely night celebrating Christmas Eve with Polish friends in Mumbai, then played time zones to call home and wish those starting their tomorrow a Very Merry Christmas. Now, it‘s the wind down of Mumbai Christmas Eve and since it is VERY early in the morning, something short, cozy and comforting was in order. I‘m soon to imitate that mouse but couldn‘t sleep without a re-read. I adore this book and this art (Mary Engelbriet!) especially!

Anyone remember this one? Hardrock, Coco and Joe. Awful animation but so goofy and fun. I believe it, along with frosty the snowman and Suzy Snowflake, was from the early 60s. They continued to be shown on WGN here in Chicago through the early 90s
