This is the second book in the Harper Connelly series. I enjoyed this one as much as the first. It was what I‘m starting to think of as a “cozy” urban fantasy. Not too dark or heavy, it suits my need for something entertaining.

An interesting second book in the Harper Connelly series. I didn't like it quite as much as the first one, but it was still good, and I'll be reading the 3rd book soon.
Just finished this one. It was a fun read but the story dragged out a little long and the ending wrapped up a little quick. I enjoyed though! Harper was struck by lightning which gave her the power to be near a dead body and know exactly how they died. A family hires her to find out what happened to their abducted child. She accidentally finds the body and finds out how she died but now to find out who killed her???
I enjoyed this very much. But I have to say, the big reveal for Harper was clear to me from the first book.
Starts out good. Let's see how it goes
This book started with a lot of promise. Good storyline, interesting paranormal elements. It quickly fell apart for me and lost me interest. The characters are not engaging and I did not like either one. The lack of integrity and boring AF characters made this one I had no interest in finishing.

I dont read mysteries much, I prefer horror and psychological thrillers, so I asked a friend to suggest some i might like. She suggested this, and i am totally enjoying it!!

Thanks to @BookwormAHN for getting me turned on to this series! Book two and I still didn‘t see the killer coming. I‘m also really enjoying the romantic tension. Finished this one in the truck on the way to fishing because I was so into it. Book 2/6 for #bfcr2.
Library haul so that I can read and audio at the same time! @Avanders what‘s our July cozy hashtag?
Audio baking even though it‘s 90degrees because I have bananas that need to be used. Also this narrator says room as “rume”- it‘s annoying.
When I was fifteen, I was struck by lightning. I recovered, mostly. I have a strange spiderweb pattern of red on my torso and right leg. I have headaches. I have many fears. And I can find dead people. That was the part that interested the professor.
A little slow to start, this book, however, kept my attention. Charlaine Harris delivers on the mystery and the development of Harper's character. Can't wait to read the 3rd book in the series.
#maybookflowers Day 7 I instantly thought of these two supernatural mysteries. I have read all 4 books in the Harper Connelly series and really wish Harris would have written a few more. I loved the first two in the Lockwood & Co. series and need to read the rest. #supernaturalmysteries
I just love this series❤️ This is particularly well-suited on audio. Harper is an interesting combination: she's reserved & resilient, but because the story is told from her perspective, we also see her vulnerabilities.
I also like how nuanced & complicated her relationship with Tolliver is. There is an edge to it, something beneath the surface. It will be something to see how it plays out.

Monday morning train graphic novel...
It had been a while since I read the book so it took a little while for whodunnit to come back to me! But I enjoyed it and the artwork is striking.
I really liked this graphic novel adaptation of GRAVE SURPRISE -- very well done! #spookybooks
