This was a fun comfort mystery, nothing too scary or brutal, it was just right. I love Barbara Neely and the way she intersects issues of race with crime, each book seems to build off the other with regards to racism and how it shows up in the main characters life.

Wonderful book, loved the narrator.

I liked the first book better, but I did like the premise of this book I just thought it was lacking that build up to the end ..

This is book 2 of the Blanche White series. Fantastic Cody mystery with a sassy, smart main character. You‘ll love how Barbara Neely tells this story. Not only is there a murder to solve but there‘s an excellent social and racial critique as well. This book will make you say yes! Yes! I can‘t wait to get yo book 3, but I don‘t want the series to end. Sadly, there are only 4 books in the series. Check it out!

My books for the long trip home. One from Goodwill for $1 and the other from Greenapple for $3. Both look like they will be good plane reads. Can‘t wait to be in my own bed. Has been a wonderful time meeting new grandchild and catching up with friends, and visiting new places as well as the familiar. Now it‘s time to go home sweet home.
