I have this wonderful friend who gave me a 50 Shades like romance novel and now I'm going to introduce her to some romance novels that I liked.
So, I bought this stack of mainly new second hand books for a laughable low price.
I can give her a new book every month for a whole year. 😁
pickThe best thing about Eloisa James' books is that there are so many you can usually get one from the library. I'm about to go on a bit of an audio binge with her as my library has pretty long waitlists. I really enjoyed this sweet, if predictable story. Once again, her characters came incredibly alive for me. I didn't understand the Lady Rawlings Lord Bonnington relationship because he's quite honestly an ass.
pickTime to play a little catch up with #litsypartyofone. Yesterday all I managed to do was finish this delightful Eloisa James novel, and have several cups of coffee in my new mug.
This is the start to a series, & I loved the characters, the setting, & all of the twists and turns. I'm so happy that I a) finally got around to reading one of her books and b) that Helene is the next heroine! Wonderful writing, I had such a great time reading!

This is my least favorite historical romance book of all I've read so far. It's full of annoying characters, the story is boring and predictable, the end ridiculous. If you're interested in historical romance I would recommend the books by Cecilia Grant and Joana Bourne.

pickI didn't love this as much as some of her Fairy Tales books, but it was still a fun read for a snowy morning. Now I want to start something new but that would involve getting out of my blanket cocoon, and I'm not sure I can do that...

Showed some love tonight to a few of the Litsy authors I follow as I haven't read anything by them yet. Excited to get to all of these soon! Also bought a copy of Midwives as well. 👌🏻
so-soI usually love Eloisa James, but this one I wasn't loving. Too much going on with uninteresting side characters and not enough with the main character. And Heroine's fiancé was misnamed. All Sebastians should be rakiest of rakes. He was awful.
