I love Maggie O‘Farrell‘s writing and this one is the most unusual one I‘ve read. Fascinating and unusual plot. Worth a read for sure.

Insta love is my least favorite romance trope, but the wonderful backstories of the characters and their families that O‘Farrell wove was breathtaking. It‘s another early effort that reminds me more of her debut than later books like Hamnet. I love how she used a character to grapple with her own feelings about the childhood disease that nearly took her life. She is really one of those authors that can do no wrong for me. 😁🙌🏻 #AuthorAMonth
Anyone else dealing with bad storms today? 🙋🏻♀️
Our power is out for the second time today(!), and mom‘s van is stuck in the garage, so I drove her to her hair appointment. Still very windy and rainy!! Starting this for #AuthorAMonth @Soubhiville
Another book swap haul also on the way home from ballet I think? Since reading Hamnet I want to read all of Maggie‘s back catalogue.
#ArtfulAugust Day 24: Definitely a #LoveTriangle going on here (of sorts). 💕 One of my summer reads.
#ArtfulAugust Day 12: This book club title (GatheringReaders @ UAE) has a few #QuirkyCharacters. The timeline jumps are disconcerting but well worth the patience in the end. Posting a few days in advance as I will be traveling in the coming days.
Maggie O‘Farrell has become one of my all time favourite authors. This is book number 6 of hers I‘ve read.
Her story telling and characterisation suck me in. I wasn‘t sure whether there was any connection between the two story lines at first. But I happily went along for the ride. Such good writing 👌🏼👏🏻😍.
I thought the main character had been raped, but it turned out she had killed someone and I am SO relieved. Does that make me a monster?
Another good offering from O‘Farrell. Family drama , international settings and will it be a happy ending!?
I‘ve caught up on all O‘Farrells now 👍🏻
Loved this book! Had to post today because King Arthur Flour website tells me, "Native to Wales, as their name suggests, Welsh Cakes are the perfect breakfast on the feast day of their native country's patron saint, St. David — celebrated each year on March 1." (So, this year it happens to also be the first day of #lent.) @Smangela @Callemarie #marchmadness #litsycooks
