Finished: Took most of the week to complete Book of Negroes and completed Dinosaurs Before Dark in one sitting.

Currently Reading: started Homecoming and The Golden Spruce on Saturday; am hoping that The Golden Spruce will be done early this coming week. Will be posting more reviews this coming week. Happy reading!!

I miss doing a #BookReport and miss @Cinfhen leading the way.

Colored Television was good on audio. I said “Oh, Jane!” numerous times. I‘m glad I stuck it out.

The Lost Passenger was enjoyable. Ultimately an immigrant story set in NYC. It has a lighter tone than most I‘ve read with this time and setting.

The Bell Jar was hard. After sitting on my shelf for years, I‘m grateful to finally have read it. #HashtagBrigade

Got 50% through Nemisis, usually love this series but this one is flat and boring….may finish.
Loved My Good Bright Wolf.
Started Dark Mirror this morning and it‘s great 😁

I was planning on doing a combined book report/weekly forecast post, but there are too many books for a single coherent photo!

So this week‘s #BookReport: finished 4 books started earlier this month:
Sea of Tranquility 8/10
Book Lovers 7/10
Cley 6/10
Small World 7.5/10

And read a further 73 pages of the #Chunkster The Bonfire of the Vanities

Read 2nd in AI detective series- Leave no Trace
Debut novel Exile was good
Just started next one in Orphan X series - Nemesis.

Last week, I finished Weyward, and read:
- 144 pages of Sea of Tranquility;
- 75 pages of Cley
- 108 pages of Small Worlds
- 212 pages of Book Lovers
- 92 pages of The Bonfire of the Vanities.

This week, I will probably finish Sea of Tranquility and Book Lovers, and aim for at least:
- 21 pages of Bonfire;
- 38 pages of Cley
- 56 pages of Small Worlds

And maybe start a new book.

Work and Christmas panic shopping has meant not much reading.

Finished the re-read of The Mime Order, still love this series.
Read Sea State - it was in my kindle and it just got lucky- enjoyed. But of a cosy vibe but has a DV theme so not all cosy.
Fire- dark, sometimes very uncomfortable, next novella in this series.
Currently reading Wheel of Fortune as wanted a bit of Wars of the Roses.

Loved The God of the Woods.
Half way through my read of ‘authors preferred text‘ of The Mime Order, in preparation for the new one in February.

A Sunny Place was a fabulous collection.
Drowning was a full on action thriller.
Half way through I Who Have Never Known Men and really enjoying it.

Enjoyed all the others. Thanks to @MicheleinPhilly for 1983 😘 - a nostalgic working class reflective novel based in the 80s.

Slow reading week- hoping to fix that with many hours of peaceful reading at Gladstone‘s this week.
Love Me was good.
Blood Like Mine was an enjoyable vampire read.
About half way through The Painter‘s Daughter and enjoying it.

September wrap up.... A good reading month in part as I was in bed with flu for a week or so.

Black Bird is def not my fave of the series so far, was a bit underwhelmed.
Not far into Dead Sleep yet, but definitely thrilling so far!

Was disappointed in the Atkinson, definitely not my favourite.
Enjoyed The Warehouse- not so far off dystopia.
Dead Friend was an entertaining read.
Loved Fate Breaker.
Just reading The Paper Palace.

Fifteen Wild Decembers- about 50% through, it was too noisy in the train to carry on. This book needs quiet time.

Storm Child - still reading - didn‘t read the blurb and it‘s about refugees and ‘stopping the boats!‘ Not exactly an escape then after the crappy U.K. week.
I have 6 gigs in 4 days this week so not much reading time, already tired!!

Loved Le Fay ❤️
Her Side of the Story - half way through, there‘s a good story in here- but the translation is clunky and there is so much detail. The first 120 pages could have been 20. I will probably return to this.
Currently reading Sunburn- recommended to me by one of our SU officers.

#finished: Finished two books this week and enjoyed both of them.

#currentlyreading: Didn't finish The Maid for a book club meeting but I imagine that I will be able to do so this week. Started Enough on audio and its a little more eyeopening than I expected. Also started The Summer Book Club and I probably can get that completed this week as well. I am just at a standstill with Alice Munro's Best at the moment.

A not much reading week: a work trip to Bahrain that was an adventure (or a nightmare depending on your approach to life)
The weather going out there, multiple changes of flight times/paths etc as we were supposed to fly into Dubai.
Then the worry about missiles/war etc flying back.
I read The Murder House on outgoing flight & started the Keyes coming back. Was too exhausted by then to read much. Have a great weekend ♥️
