Oh well, I‘m not having the gallbladder surgery tomorrow because the sheet my surgeon‘s office gave me had the wrong fax number for my primary care doctor to fax my clearance papers to. So... the surgery is rescheduled for next Thursday, May 3rd. I still have bins to go through from the move, but my side is killing me. So I‘ll just read. Here‘s #Stormy Thanks for all of the well wishes! You guys are awesome!! ❤️❤️😊😊📚📚😻😻😎😎

LauraBeth Oh my gosh - how frustrating! At least you know that relief is coming soon! 7y
Mimi28 @LauraBeth Thanks!! My primary care doctor couldn‘t get me in until Monday afternoon anyway, and didn‘t fax it until Tuesday morning- to the wrong number. If they had gotten me in a few days earlier then everything would be okay. I can still do a little heavy lifting to go through these boxes from the move for an extra week. I‘m honestly not even sure if this pain is my gallbladder. The pain is waaayyy lower. Maybe this is a sign I should get ⬇️ 7y

Mimi28 @LauraBeth A second opinion. Good grief, lol. Thanks for the support though!! 👍😊❤️ 7y
jpmcwisemorgan I had a gallstone and an ovarian cyst rupture at the same time. It was hard to get the doctors to listen and it wasn‘t until I was in the ER that a doctor finally listened when I was describing my pain. A second opinion doesn‘t hurt. (edited) 7y
Mimi28 @jpmcwisemorgan Wow!! That‘s horrible!! Sorry you had to go through that. I went the gyne route and they found uterine cysts but said the pain is too far over and sent me to the gastrointestinal docs. I am really starting to wonder if it‘s my ovary though. They did a ton of scans and tests and also found a hiatal hernia, and then the gallstones. The pain is also where it hurt when I had shingles, but I had the pain years before that. 7y
jfalkens Wow! Wishing you minimal pain until the surgery and a speedy recover xXxX 7y
jpmcwisemorgan Pain can radiate out so it could be a number of things (ovarian cysts can hurt!). I hope that if it‘s not your gallbladder it‘s resolved soon. If it‘s you gallbladder, the surgery will take care of it! 7y
asiriusreader Wishing you well on next week‘s surgery! 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa Well yay for the reading time and unpacking time....And boo, for them not being able to get their act together. 7y
Mimi28 @jfalkens Thanks!! 👍😊❤️❤️ 7y
Mimi28 @jpmcwisemorgan Thanks! I‘m so confused, lol. Gonna make some calls tomorrow. Thanks for sharing and all you input! ❤️❤️ 7y
Mimi28 @asiriusreader Thanks!! ❤️❤️❤️ 7y
Mimi28 @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Thanks!! This may be a blessing in disguise because I kind of want a second opinion anyway. The pain is too low to be my gallbladder, but I was willing to have the surgery anyway. I‘m so confused. I‘m to the point where I‘ll agree to almost anything to attempt to make the pain go away, lol. But oh well- yes it is great to have more reading and unpacking time. Thanks! You‘re awesome!! 7y
Copwithabook I felt so much better after I got my gallbladder removed. I hope it brings you some relief 7y
Mimi28 @Copwithabook Thanks!! That‘s very encouraging!! I hope so, thanks. ❤️❤️ 7y

The Shuri portrayed by Letitia Wright in the film is the Shuri I want in the comics, but we can‘t have everything we want, right? The “A Nation Under Our Feet” series keeps getting better as the characters continue to develop.

Eew. Kissing. I didn‘t expect so much romance in this series. 😉

Quoting Audre Lorde....one of the many reasons why this Black Panther series is growing on me! Ta-Nehisi Coates is quite obviously growing and developing his skills as a comic book writer as this series progresses...and it shows! This was my favorite one so far.

#theherowinsthisround is a complicated hashtag for this cycle, for sure, but not wholly untrue. A nation under our feet has been so beautifully complex, though as difficult as reality it mimics. On the whole, I really enjoyed it. #speechbubblechallenge #letsgetgraphicweeklongmarathon @Clwojick @TricksyTails

Brought up a lot of interesting philosophical points and was a thoroughly enjoyable read! Grateful to the bonus panels in the back which cleared up some questions I had about the events before this arch started.

Amazing. I really hope this isn't the last volume. I love Coates' writing so it's surprising I haven't read his non-fiction work yet. The illustrations in this series are great as well. Definitely one of my favorite graphic novel series!

This volume wraps up the first arc of Ta-Nehisi Coates' run on Black Panther. I really enjoy the philosophical questions brought up in this series about what makes a king, a nation, and its people. I look forward to reading more Black Panther comics by Coates.

This is some of the best comic book writing I have seen in a long time. Coates does very well crafting Black Panther and his universe. So far the first two issues are amazing.
