The Dratsie Dilemma
The Dratsie Dilemma: San Andreas Shifters | Gail Carriger, G. L. Carriger
2 posts | 2 read
The forth installment in G. L. Carriger's San Andreas Shifter series. Trick, the otter shifter (and everyone's favorite barista), is running from a past he can't forget, and has accidentally landed in the surprisingly warm embrace of the local werewolf pack. Everything is going swimmingly, until the merfolk show up. Mermaids en masse are a problem for everyone. This particular pod is guarded by one very powerful, very sexy, merman - which mean's Trick's past has finally caught up to him. That past is grumpy, slippery, and has been looking for Trick for over a decade. Delicate Sensibilities? This paranormal romance contains gay sexy times, horrible puns regarding oceanography, and clumsy mermaids in high heels. If you get offended easily, then you probably will. The San Andreas Shifter stories include blue language, dirty deeds, and outright admiration for the San Francisco Bay Area. Not for the faint of heart (or mouth or tongue). Acclaimed author Gail Carriger (writing as G. L. Carriger) brings you the next in her delightful gay shapeshifter series perfect for fans of TJ Klune, Alexis Hall, or R Cooper. The San Andreas Shifter books stand alone and do not need to be read in any order, but if you're a stickler, this book comes after The Enforcer Enigma.

Pickpick

My early morning tea and read last few days.
Marvin the Merman has always been my favorite of the San Andreas Shifters ever since I first met him in Gail Carriger's short story Marine Biology. (It's free when you sign up for her newsletter The Chirrup.) He always sparkles . It was interesting to see a more serious side to him. Also learning more about merfolk. ⬇️

Crinoline_Laphroaig But that Epilogue is what I love most about this series. “You‘re the strangest merman I‘ve ever met.” Marvin patted his shoulder. “I know, honey. But just look,” he gestured widely at the massive barbecue. “We like adopting strays.”🧜🏼‍♂️

catsuit_mango I loved the new story and learning more about merpeople. Do you think we will get Kevin's story one day ? And who is the strange lady in the café, we did not get the full story on her.... 3w
Crinoline_Laphroaig @catsuit_mango ya what was up with her? Also there keeps being mentions of the fact that Alec and Marvin aren't married. I forget which book it is but Marvin says he's waiting on Alec to ask him. Why haven't you asked Alec????? 3w
catsuit_mango @Crinoline_Laphroaig the good news is that it leaves a lot of new stories open if Miss Gail wants to keep writing that series :) 3w

Yes :) as an incentive to buying directly for her, the newest Gail Carriger book arrived a week in advance in my emails :) now off to read about otter-shifters (a warning that is the most explicit and adult series of hers)

Crinoline_Laphroaig Don't you just love how Gail Carriger brings sunshine to your email just when you need it? 4w
catsuit_mango @Crinoline_Laphroaig yes, new books or the chirrup always make me smile. 3w
