pickI love Sarah Scribbles - and I don‘t think that‘s ever going to change… it‘s the millennial humour that makes me chuckle! A gift to have spent a decade watching Sarah hone her craft - I especially enjoyed her essays in the back about her journey into adulthood and her experiences as an comic artist in a male dominated field (and how that‘s changed over the years).
Couldn‘t believe my eyes when I saw this on the new book display - I thought it‘d be reserved! I‘m happy to be the first reader 🤩
The only thing I didn't like about this book was that I wanted even more. It's so interesting to learn about the progress of Sarah Andersen as an artist and a person. I was amused that she saw herself as moving away from “relatability“ in her recent work, because it's still her hallmark for me, even when the main character has bat wings.

pickI always enjoy a "Sarah's Scribbles" book. Of course, there were some I really enjoyed, others I didn't care for. I think this one was a little bit more personal to the author, which was nice to see.
pickThis was my least favorite of the Scribbles books but the majority of the comics were funny.

pickAlways a good time. Includes a nice sprinkling of spooky-themed comics giving seasonal vibes. The experience is elevated by the essays in the back of the book, Andersen discussing her growth as an artist, regrets about earlier comics, important issues and how she handles them now. Her tone remains that of relatable, but not cynical, comical observations with a mix of truly wholesome, sweet silly moments that I greatly appreciate.
