I would turn this into a retelling or summary assignment. Since many kids are familiar with Scooby-Doo, I‘d have them choose a Scooby-Doo book to read and summarize in their own words. I‘d teach them how to avoid copying, focusing on identifying key ideas and details. This would help them practice summarizing while engaging with a story they already enjoy, reinforcing reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.
This is a spooky tale where a mysterious bandit sets the town‘s cornfields on fire. With robots and villains lurking around every corner, the gang must solve the mystery before it‘s too late! What will the town do?
