so-soUgh, this one just didn‘t live up to the first book. Inez often came across as a petulant, impulsive young girl rather than a compelling lead. And the cats in the epilogue â who had absolutely nothing to do with the story â made the ending feel silly and out of place. Book #103 in 2025 âī¸âī¸
pickThis was a truly amazing read. It had me hooked from beginning to end. The story was full of adventure and twists. If you are looking for an adventure book, I strongly recommend reading this series. âī¸âī¸âī¸âī¸

âWhere The Library Hidesâ is a solid end to this duology. I wasn‘t the biggest fan of the twist related to both of Inez‘s parents (it was simply okay, slightly interesting but I still feel weird from it). Inez‘s and Whit‘s relationship was probably the best part of this book.

pickSo much fun! Chosen family is certainly better than blood relations in this duology. Inez & Whit have an exciting story and I enjoyed reading this series.
so-soAfter that cliffhanger, I was glad to have this conclusion on hand! And while I appreciated that everything was nicely tied up, with a thorough epilogue, I really didn‘t like the ending twist at all. It is a wonder Inez will ever trust anyone ever with anything after this adventure! The action moves from Cairo to Alexandria with fast pacing throughout. Ultimately, there‘s too much betrayal for me & not enough real justice. Not as fun as I‘d hoped!

Whoo hoo! After listening to the first one, I had to replay the last few paragraphs because I had a funny feeling something was up and now I get to find out! Is he really having an affair with her mom?

so-soI'm gonna be honest I didn't love this book or this series. This one was still pretty "whiplash-y" and I just struggled to cheer for any of the characters whether it was because they were terrible people or just so naive about the world around them they kept getting into silly situations. I will say it made me think about National Treasure in its discoveries and main character banter.
