panThis book didn't really work for me. I was lured in by the cover, but the book fell flat. A Polish Beauty and the Beast retelling with a romance I didn't enjoy. I can't get behind the nickname 'not so clever little fox.' Felt like she was falling for a guy who either thought she was naive or stupid.
pickIt was a pretty interesting story. I liked the mystery of it all and thought some of the demons/spirits were interesting to read about. It works as a standalone
pickIf you liked Uprooted and The Bear and the Nightingale, you will love this. It‘s heavily inspired by Polish culture and folklore. It‘s a slow burn romance but the ending made me cry. I loved it.
