Atmospheric? A small, rainy village in Ireland, check. Witty? Witty and well-read, check. Great chemistry? Enemies to lovers passion, check. Add in nostalgia and grief and it becomes a five-star romance.

Contemplating my possible summer reading for this upcoming week. My weekly pace will slow way down on Monday- back to work! #endofsummerreading #porchlife
This book is incredibly well written, super believable character, including a librarian with actual research skills, and a lovely story of the damage families can do and how people can learn to heal. Beautiful and I‘m buying a ton of the authors other books.
Hired to work as an authors assistant and bookstore employee, Emily is starting a new life with a new perspective and meets her love and family on three way.
5/5 read for emotions
This was okay. Emily moves to Ireland for a new job to escape her nightmare of a mother. She‘s working for her favorite author and at a bookstore. I had some issues with this book, but I liked the story (a bit sad), but overall it‘s a romance so there is a HEA.
Cute. Open door romance. Side characters in this one had their own meet-cute romance in "Summer Reading" love me some bookish romcom
Berkley in their latest email sent out this bingo card. Have you read five in a row?!
Final book of May - a sweet little romance. It‘s set in Ireland so a lot of charm is in the atmosphere of the book. The romance is a bit of a slow burn, mature content while there, is modest compared to most of the mainstream reads. I felt that romance was secondary to the heroine‘s personal journey. I enjoyed it, but it could be a little bit faster paced.
I loved this one. I stayed up way too late to finish it last night. It did have a bit more spice than I was expecting. (Again, I'm blaming the cover art.) This was also VERY emotional. I legit SOBBED at one point. And may have cried more than once. I loved everything about it, though, and highly recommend. It was this book lovers' dream. Oh, and there is a recipe for Irish whiskey shortbread in the back. (Thank you 🇮🇪 for speaking up for 🇵🇸!!)
I'm on pango books now. Well, as a buyer. This makes 7 apps or online sources I use for thrifting books: Ebay, etsy, thriftbooks, AbeBooks, poshmark, TikTok and now pangobooks. (Always check any individual sellers reviews to avoid a bad transaction.) This doesn't include the secondhand book places I visit locally as well. I definitely have a problem. I love the bookmark this seller included! Where do you like getting your second hand books?
I have been reading Jenn McKinlay‘s cozies for years, and this is my first time reading a book of hers that isn‘t a cozy mystery. This story had me from the start. I love books about Ireland, so I was excited from the first page, and this did not disappoint. The storyline was so much fun, the live hate relationship between the MC and the FMC was done so well, so of course they would end up together. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Another win for Jenn McKinlay! Love at First Book is a delightful romance. I loved Kier & Em. It explores authors, writing, and books set in a small Irish town with characters that will pull at your heart strings! I found myself loving these characters, laughing and crying tears with them. This story is so tender hearted, a perfect curl up in a favorite chair with a cozy blanket & a favorite drink.
Book 70/100 of the year.
