Loved this story of lonely people trying to find their way, Scottish islands, quirky families, birds of all types and a goat who will steal your heart. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

I‘m DnFing this one. Not that it isn‘t enjoyable. It is just a slow read what I can‘t get into right now. It was a library random pick, mainly for the pretty cover. 😅 #hailthebail ?
Another lovely read from Jenny Colgan.Morag comes from a family of pilots after a close call with another plane,Morag is shaken and can't bring herself to fly again. Such endearing likeable characters I found myself fondly reading along and hoping for only the best for Morag. Even though I couldn't relate to the pilot side of things, we have all lost our self confidence at some stage in life and tried to get it back.⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love Jenny Colgan, especially her Christmas books. This wasn‘t a particular favorite but it wasn‘t my least favorite either - very middle of the pack. I wasn‘t a huge fan of either main character - Morag was kind of ditzy and Gregor was a real grump - but they both did have complicated and somewhat sad background stories that I found touching. I also always love a story set on a small Scottish isle! 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I headed back into Jenny Colgan yesterday, with the usual halfway-curious helper. This is an enjoyable one so far; maybe the first I‘ve read from her in first person, with lots of humour and a strong sense of the Scottish archipelago her characters inhabit. It‘s a bit odd, though, in that the jacket copy barely connects to the story. I dunno why the publisher decided this skewed precise would draw in more readers than the actual contents. 🤷♀️
This one might be one of my top favorites of Colgan's. Morag really made sense as a character, and I just loved her opposites-attract relationship with Gregor. Maybe I should move to Scotland.... #womensfiction

𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐠𝐚𝐧 is another author whose books I just discovered, thanks to the generous folks at Bibliolifestyle & Avon Books. They sent me a copy of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐞𝐬. The story sounds absolutely charming & the setting perfect for an absorbing story about a young woman developing a flight plan . . . for her future. And isn't the cover gorgeous? This one is definitely going with me to the beach! 🌊
