The Baby-Sitters Club #6: Kristy's Big Day
The Baby-Sitters Club #6: Kristy's Big Day | Ann M. Martin
10 posts | 30 read
The hit series returns to charm and inspire another generation of baby-sitters! Kristy's mom is getting married, and everyone is coming to town to help, bringing their kids with them. Fourteen kids! Kristy is sure she and Stacey, Claudia, Mary Anne, and Dawn can handle it--they're professional baby-sitters, after all, and Kristy's mom has offered them a lot of money to take on such a big job. But will a week of changing diapers, stopping fights, solving mix-ups, and keeping fourteen children entertained prove to be too much for the BSC? Can they keep things under control for Kristy's big day?

Final book in the Baby-Sitters Club Book Collection. At least this one. This book culminates with Kristy's mom marrying Watson and completes that story arc that began in the first book of the series. There's a second collector tin with another 6 books on my shelf. I'm looking forward to reminding myself of the next part of the story. #51-2022

Wedding bells are ringing for Kristy Thomas‘s mom and Watson Brewer — and I was lucky enough to chat with author Alison Cochrun (The Charm Offensive) about all of the fun and drama that unfolds as a result in the sixth installment of the Baby-Sitters Club, Kristy‘s Big Day. This was Alison‘s first experience reading the BSC, which makes it extra fun. Tune in at the link in my bio!

BookBabe Ah, that makes me feel nostalgic! Childhood was such a treat. ❤️ 3y
ahoffkosik @BookBabe it really was! 3y

Still having fun rereading these, especially with the new characters like Dawn starting to show up. I really appreciate the issues explored in these ones (divorce, blended families, problematic parents, dealing with emergencies, etc) and how the books manage to have a clear message for young readers without feeling like MESSAGE BOOKS, you know what I mean? I only wish the dialogue was a liiiiiittle less corny 😜 3/5 ⭐️ to each one

Karisa Oh how I loved those books growing up! 💗 6y
alisonrose @Karisa me too!!! It‘s been so fun revisiting them ☺️ 6y

@joscho
1️⃣ Babysitter‘s Club. A box of about 20 BC books were given to me and I spent many hours reading them and trying to collect the whole set.
2️⃣ Barbie Playhouse and I also carried around a stuffed Fievel Mousekewitz everywhere.
3️⃣ Chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. It was rare that we got to eat chicken nuggets so I was always excited and I was basic! 😂
4️⃣Cupcakes! Yum!

JoScho Chicken nuggets for the win! 7y

Last one for today. Kristy‘s Mom and Watson are finally married. ❤️. Kristy and the rest of the sitters did a pretty good job of taking care of 14 children for the week.

Skeebies05 I was most like Mary Anne growing up but Stacy was my favorite. Kristy was my least Fav 😳 7y

The first one of these books where a concerning felony/event didn‘t take place. 🤷🏼‍♀️
