This was an interesting read. Like father like daughter were my first thoughts. She‘s just as bloodthirsty as Henry. She was very stuck in her ways with a bee in her bonnet about Protestants. It was sad that the child she was became the woman she ended up as. A well written and researched fictional biography. What a bigoted dysfunctional family the Tudors were!

tpixie I used to love reading about Queen Elizabeth one and the family when I was a child. I probably should read them again.! 4mo
VanessaCW @tpixie Legacy by Susan Kay is my favourite book about Elizabeth I. A slightly more pleasant and tolerant queen than Mary! 🙂 4mo

Got a nice surprise from my #bookmail from #Waterstones there wasn't an option for a signed one when I pre-ordered it and I kept on checking if there was an option but there wasn't. Don't know whether it's first come first served or so many of the pre orders were given signed ones but I was so excited when I saw it was signed 😃😃😃. 📚📖

Caroline2 Yay! What a lovely surprise! I love Alison Weir too! 🧡 8mo
