I binged TAZ this past winter. I love that I can relive the series in graphic novels! The illustrations are cute and colorful and NOT traditional DnD (if that‘s your bag, cool no hate) just like TAZ.

So. Much. Fun! Sometimes it was a little hard to follow the action, but I really enjoy this adaptation of the podcast, which I love. Best part of this one: Angus, boy detective! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Honestly one of the best volumes so far, better than listening to the podcast in my opinion. So many backstories and plot threads start coming together!
In chasing after another grand relic, the Boys find themselves stuck in a town repeating a single hour.
I did stay up way too late. And I have no regrets. Yet. I think this is my favorite of the graphic novels so far. It addressed my biggest concerns with the podcast‘s arc, fleshed out a lot of things, and still retained the emotional gut punch I was hoping for. Pietsch‘s art continues to be a standout & I can‘t wait for the next book! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
I am going to stay up WAAYYY too late with this. 😅
This band of adventurers had me laughing like a fool while I read. Even though the story is getting a little bit darker it still felt lighthearted enough to keep me happy.
Don't know what to say about it. I love the podcast, it's fun and doesn't overdo the fourth wall breaks (at least for someone who's listened to it) and I love the art style so much.
Really had a fun time reading the second installment of TAZ Balance! I really liked all the designs and the subtle hinting towards the later arcs. I specifically liked the Lord of Eversummer's design. I'm really hyped for Petals to the Metal, and will continue my reading during the times of quarantine and social distancing.
I have been re-listening to the podcast as I have been reading the book and doing so had brought me so much joy. The art is beautiful, the story is as funny as I remember it, and it is just a gift to have the podcast come to life. The book is sweet and heartbreaking in a way the podcast couldn't be as they were still figuring out the story. Finally, I love that fan art was included. My favourite art piece featured is the one above of Lucretia.
Carey Pietsch's art is so beautiful, this graphic novel series is just stunning 😍
Finished the absolutely amazing tagged book today for my 99th book of 2019 and am now playing Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture with my husband and auntie! I hope all of my Litsy friends have a happy new year and a wonderful 2020!
[#GraphicNovelReview] The Adventure Zone: Murder on the Rockport Limited! by Clint, Griffin, Travis, and Justin McElroy. Illustrated by Carey Pietsch. This one was even better than the first (which I also enjoyed)! This is one of the funniest graphic novels I‘ve read. If you‘ve read these I‘d love to talk!

After a lovely brunch with my sister and cousin I finished this super fun comic! I still can‘t get into listening to the podcast but I enjoyed this volume of the graphic novel version even more than the first. What can I say, I‘m a sucker for a fantasy murder on the orient express situation!
Spent a fun and absolutely beautiful day with my brother and his fiancé in the city seeing Six (if you like pop divas and Tudor history check out the soundtrack asap!) - now I‘m treating myself to a Saturday night comic and chocolate milkshake?☺️
Waiting for me at home when I got back from deployment
1 - tagged!
2 - Kryssie
3 - Garlic bread
4 - Finishing the drive to LA
5 - does Pig Latin count? 😂 Then 2.

Reading these graphic novels makes me want to go back and re-listen to the Balance arc again, but they are still a lot of fun in their own right. I‘m very to have this on my shelf.

This series continues to be super fun adapted as a graphic novel. I really loved the extra scene that didn't exist in the podcast because it adds more depth to the director early on and hints at what's to come in a way the podcast couldn't

It‘s here! And it‘s perfect! And it has trading cards! 💜
I really loved this arc. It translated so well into page. It was funny and intense and even emotional. I truly hope we get more of these comics. I couldn‘t put it down.
AAAAAHHHHH! It‘s a day early!
I really enjoyed this one! Good laughs as always and overall a really good adaptation of the second arc. A definite pick!🧙♂️
Y‘all, there‘s only so many times I can reread the first one before I just start getting antsy! Is it Friday yet?

A fun murder-mystery set on a train with our three favorite rowdy boys. Still so impressed with how Carey Pietsch and the McElroys are adapting the podcast into a graphic novel. Loved seeing Garfield and the Fantasy Costco. And so so excited that the adventure is going to continue in Petals to the Metal.
This is very representative of how I felt when I got my copy today. I‘m almost halfway through it already and loving it so so much❤️
I'll admit, I was a little underwhelmed by book 1 on revisits, though that largely comes down to the McElroy's initially loose conception of the story and their inexperience in adapting it to a new medium (Pietsch's work was and is exemplary). With book 2, the family has clearly grown regarding both the what and the how of the story they want to tell. Not only a marked improvement, it bodes well for the later, more emotionally rich arcs to come.
Well I know what my evening plans are
At the launch event at Town Hall for the new Adventure Zone!! Can‘t believe I get to see Justin and Griffin in person! They said there would be surprise guests for the reading and if it‘s not Lin-Manuel Miranda I will riot.
The best possible result, in honor of today's new release.

Thanks for all of the kind wishes on the loss of our kitty, littens!❤️ As you can see, our remaining cat Emma has been working overtime dispensing cuddles. Comforting ourselves with yet another re-listen of The Adventure Zone: Balance while I work on some fan art for the current arc (you can sorta see my Pine Guard patch in the background). Just starting the Rockport Limited, can‘t wait for the GN. Jenkins‘ introduction is one of my fav scenes.
