I read this a few years ago and felt it was time for a rereading. This book is magical.

This was a delight. Beautiful, sweet, heartbreaking, and soul-healing. So much of the text could have come across as cliched platitudes, but weaving the text together with the characters and Mackesy‘s drawings gives it an emotional depth that takes it beyond Etsy-craft-quotable status and makes it into a book I‘m putting on my Christmas list.

This is the most heartwarming, uplifting book ever. Every page is filled with wise, positive, affirming advice. This is my favorite book to give as a gift, especially for graduations.
Thankyou @julieclair I‘ve always wanted to read the tagged book. It‘s so pretty. @thebacklistbook

The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse is my all-time favorite gift book for any occasion, but particularly for graduates. But for those graduates who already have a copy, I think The Little Things in Life may be my next choice.

I can see this being of great comfort to a variety of readers. I loved the art style, the fluidity between more bare bones ink sketches and full colour painting. 1/2
I love little books like this. The ones with little reminders that we matter, that we are enough, that love is the most precious thing.
My Mione cat says hi.
Some reading for this evening before bed.
I wasn't sure I would complete my yearly challenge in time, and I had this book on my mind so I have finally read it.
I don't think I have ever cried so much while reading. It's wholesome good and kind.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was so lovely, so touching. I absolutely cried. ❤️
Am I crazy for now also wanting the original version of the book?
On our way to set up for the show we stopped at the Toledo Friends of the Library sale! This is my 10$ stack of books, all of which I'm super excited about. 🥰
So beautiful. 🥹

It was really cute. Loved it!
This might be one of the loveliest books I‘ve ever read. It‘s one I‘ll revisit 💚 The 11 year old liked it as well 😊
“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
“Kind,” said the boy. ❤️❤️❤️
Here‘s my review for a book I just finished. I‘ve been bailing on books all month because I haven‘t enjoyed them but I finally finished a book. This audiobook was only 1 hour long. I was beginning to worry that I was falling into a reading slump because of not finishing anything. However, I know that I can take a break from reading and focus on other hobbies if I need to and the books will still be there when I‘m ready to return to them.
I loved this one so much! It‘s like Winnie The Pooh for Generation Alpha. #TemptingTitles #WithHorse @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
What a heartwarming little read! If you haven‘t read this gem, take ten minutes out of your day to do so; you won‘t be disappointed. This book is filled with beautiful illustrations, endearing characters, and wonderful words of wisdom.
What could have been hopelessly trite
Is instead such a dang delight.

Such a beautiful art work … love slow days at work when I can read ❤️

Beautiful sentiments paired with stunning illustrations.
A lovely book that‘s a quick read but packs a punch. Contains many great reminders to be kind, to love, and to be gentle. Such a wonderful book to start off my reading year! 4/5⭐️

Lovely start to my reading year!
A book of friendship, love and dreams.
Oh and wonderful illustrations
Suitable for everyone of every age😊
Happy New Year xxx
Just as beautiful and heartwarming as the original book. I can‘t wait to watch the film tomorrow. 💖
I am giving this book to sooooo many people for Christmas this year. It is also my go-to gift for baby showers. It is a book to be savored, read only a page or two each day. Filled with simple, profound, uplifting, old-fashioned ideas on how to live a kind and caring life.

Made my final bookstore trip for the year today to pick up the two books from my Small Business Saturday order that weren‘t ready, and of course, grabbed a couple other books included this lovely companion book to Charlie Massey‘s animated story. I‘m going to save it for Jolabokaflod. I also picked up Cackle for #AuldLangSpine. 💖
Such a beautiful book. I‘m really looking forward to seeing the animation on Christmas Day
What a sweet book!!! Loved it. Makes a wonderful present. The love is palpable and the illustrations are lovely.
“…But I‘ve discovered this-you are loved and important and you bring to this world things no one else can. So hold on.”
I never read the original version of this even though I have had it recommended to me several times. I saw this one at work and decided I needed to have it. I loved every minute of it. ❤️
Beautiful. I‘ve been considering this one for awhile and was inspired by @Kristin_Reads this morning to download both the ebook & audiobook to listen as I read. What an amazing experience proving once again a book will finally come to you at just the right time. This is brief. Don‘t pass it by. Be inspired this holiday season and every day to be kinder with yourself & others. This may provide the quiet moment you need amidst the hustle & bustle.
🎧 12-11-22 || I‘m not sure why I didn‘t pick this one up earlier but I‘m glad I did now. The end of the year holiday season seems like just the right time. On the advice of another Litsy reader, I listened to this one; it‘s delightful, with music and nature sounds and bonus commentary from the author. 🎧✨

There‘s a new colorful version!
I needed a wholesome comfort read after the difficult semester I just had.
“…look how far we‘ve come” ♡
I recommend the audiobook, it has beautiful music and soothing wildlife sounds.

This is Winnie The Pooh for the modern age, aimed at both adults and children. I read a Litsy review that suggested listening to the audiobook while reading this. I wish I remembered who‘s so I could thank them cause it was definitely the right call! The audiobook was narrated by the writer/illustrator, written partly as an accessibility aide for people who can‘t see the pictures or can‘t read the words. The result is that you get some of his 👇🏼
I did the #audiobook of this because it said there was music. And the author describes some of the pictures with extra background info. And tries not to laugh when he does the mole. It's actually quite enjoyable. I would recommend it. It's only about an hour.
#BookSpinBingo @TheAromaofBooks (this feels like cheating but I just ran out of free spaces anyway)
Is this considered a children's book? I think it is an every-age book. This touches on important concepts like friendship, loneliness, the purpose of life, who we are, and working through challenges. The illustrations are beautiful and the hand-written text is unique.
If I had to explain the feeling of this book, it is like a long hug with a loved one or a warm cup of cocoa.
Library book finished. What an absolutely charming book. It is basicly a warm hug. Lovely insights that everyone can benefit from. I loved this so very much. I'm definitely going to buy a copy of my own to keep.
Finally! Finally reading this masterpiece.
Shoutout to Libby for having this graphic novel on the app. I'm already so in love with it and I know I will cry at the end. Tears of happiness if you will. ❤

This book is all around beauty! It is going to be put in a place where anybody who walks in my house can see it, pick it up, and find simple joy.
This book was a Mother's Day gift. It is beautiful and this made me laugh out loud. "If at first you don't succeed have some cake."
"Love Brings you Home." said the Mole
Short But very Alluring fable 😇
Many thoughts are presented in a concise, clear and much easy way.
Have a good read 😊
