A big ol' yes to these 2 chunks. Both were waiting for me at the library. Decided to go with Sera #2 instead of poppy #3. I'm going to end up reading them in a weird order but whatever. Loving these series

I know I'm going to devour this! So ready ❤️ 🥰
I liked this was better than the first, but not as much as I enjoyed the first 3 Blood and Ash books. I‘m not a big fan of the false love- impediment, but the action was good.
I bought this because it's a spinoff of the Blood and Ash series, which I mostly like, but it is not nearly as good. The plot barely crawls forward in this long novel mostly made up of Sera agonizing over loves me, loves me not. Dialogue is often juvenile, the editing is poor, the magic BS is unbelievable, and everything is driven by prophesies, which I tend to think is lazy writing. Blood and Ash has some of these same problems but much less so.
I started reading Armentrout during the pandemic and she quickly became my guilty pleasure and I devoured allllll of her books. This is her latest release book 2 in the Flesh & Fire series and it did not disappoint. A strong FMC who is always destined to be more, primals, Gods, kingdoms, prophecies, creatures, war and love- what more could a gal want? #seriesread2022
OMG I loved this book. There was fighting. There was tension. There were cuddly draken. There was more tension. I enjoyed the first book of the series but this one was so much better. The banter was spicy. I am now more of a fan of Sera/Ash than Poppy/Cas (I still love them tho!). Oh how I love a strong female MC. Sera spoke her mind and stood up for herself. Also quite enjoyed how she would call people out.
Now (im)patiently waiting for the 3rd.
I didn't enjoy this installment of the Flesh and Fire series as much as I did the first novel. It was long and drawn out without much plot movement. Of course, I am hooked enough to want to read the third book when it comes out, because #2 ends with a cliffhanger.
Y‘all…all the freaking feels with this one. I love the world building and I want my own Nyktos but the emotions this time she dragged out of me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read.
Nothing prepared me for this. I can't remember when a book evoked such intense emotions. The worldbuilding is impressing. I was already invested in the Blood and Ash series but both series together are insane. The anticipation and foreshadowing was so nicely done, I didn't see the major twist coming. And what a cliffy. I'm left in shock. Absolutely love this book.
