I loved the darkly humorous film and hadn't realised it was based on a graphic novel until I saw this in the library. Only a few pages in, but it's just as awfully comedic.
Even though it's a fictionalised account rather than historically rigorous, it's rather gut-churning that the atmosphere of death and fear under Stalin's regime is all to real.

so-so'The Death of Stalin' graphic novel is a good companion to the Iannucci satire and worth a quick read.
pickI will call this a low Pick, although I think the movie was better; there aren't many women in the story but the movie shows more of them.
