The breathtaking sequel to the instant New York Times bestseller This Woven Kingdom! Full of explosive magic, searing romance, and heartbreaking betrayal, this series from the award-winning and bestselling author of the Shatter Me series is perfect for fans of Leigh Bardugo, Sabaa Tahir, and Tomi Adeyemi. With the heat of a kiss, the walls between Alizeh, the long-lost heir to an ancient Jinn kingdom, and Kamran, the crown prince of the Ardunian empire, have crumbled. And so have both of their lives.Alizeh, the heir to the Jinn throne, is destined to free her people from the half-lives they've been forced to live under human rule. When Kamran, the heir to the human throne, falls in love with her, he's forced to question everything he's been taught about Jinn.Kamran's grandfather lays dead at the hand of Cyrus, ruler of the neighboring kingdom of Tulan. Cyrus has stolen Alizeh away to his homeland and plans to marry her there, giving her everything she needs to become the Jinn queen--and when she assumes the throne he will have fulfilled his own bargain with the devil.Alizeh wants nothing to do with Cyrus's deal or the devil. But without a way to escape Tulan, and with the fulfillment of her own destiny tantalizingly close, she'll have to decide whether she can set aside her emotions to become the queen her people need.Kamran, meanwhile, is picking up the pieces in Ardunia. Facing betrayal at every turn, all he knows is that he must go to Tulan to avenge his grandfather. He can only hope that Alizeh will be waiting for him there--and that she hasn't yet become the queen of Tulan.

Alizeh was likable, and ended up liking the chemistry between her & Cyrus. It was easy to relate to Kamran and why he couldn't know who're trustworthy. I really loved one evilish character, because I am eager to see what part they're playing in the next book.

I loved plotting/politics in this book, and the setting was lovely too.

Strangely there doesn't happen really much in this book, but I still enjoyed reading this.

I loved book one so much, and I read that on kindle. Not sure whether I would have preferred this that way again but maybe it‘s just a book 2 thing. It‘s messing with all the attachments you made in the first book! Still beautiful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Book 2 was amazing! I enjoyed book 1, but I really enjoyed book 2! Now I have to wait a bit before Book 3 is released.

This Woven Kingdom was my favorite book of 2022, so I had super high expectations for book 2 in the series. Maybe that‘s why I was disappointed? It felt like a filler book. Not a lot of action. Instead setting everything up for what is sure to be an amazing 3rd book. Guess I have to wait another year to be wowed. I did still love the characters and fantasy elements of this world and still can‘t wait to read the conclusion ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #seriesLove2023

Andrew65 Well done 👏👏👏 Filler books can be frustrating, often happens with trilogies. 2y
TheSpineView Great job! 2y
Twainy I also liked book one so I pre-ordered the matching special edition of book 2 from Illumicrate. I‘m sad that it‘s a disappointment. 2y
Meshell1313 @Twainy it was still good- just a filler. Also a lot shorter than the first. Can‘t wait to see your review and what you think! 2y
