Extra Witchy | Ann Aguirre
7 posts | 6 read | 6 to read
The third in an adorable witchy rom-com series by New York Times bestselling author Ann Aguirre, perfect for fans of: The bonds of sisterhood A career-driven heroine who thinks she isn't marriage material A pan hero who struggles with depression And a shocking family secret After two failed marriages, Leanne Vanderpol is here for a good time, not for a long time. She only loves the witches in her coven, and she cares more about her career than happily ever after. A difficult past makes her skittish, and she doesn't trust relationships to stick. But when she decides to run for city council instead of wasting her talents cleaning up messes for the mayor's office, she fears her past could be used against her. Unless she can find the right husband to shore up her political career... Trevor Montgomery might have peaked in high school. He was popular then, and in college as well, but he partied away his future, met the wrong person, and everything fell apart. Now he's jobless, dateless, and hopeless, at least according to his toxic family. Then a chance meeting with the redhead of his dreams offers an unexpected ray of light just when he needs it most. Can a woman who doesn't believe in forever find true love with a man who's stopped believing in anything at all?

I really enjoyed this witchy romance, even though I accidentally skipped over book 2. This is the 2nd Aguirre book I've read this year, and I think she's going to be an auto-read author. Also love a romance with a marriage of convenience.

A cute romance that has been on my radar since last year. Leanne and Trevor were both kind, but flawed, individuals. They have a Vegas wedding so Leanne will be appealing to voters as she runs for city council. I really liked the twist of her being pursuer and the money maker. Overall, an easy feel good read.

For once I do not recommend the audiobook. While Leanne‘s “voice” was sultry and personable, Trevor‘s “voice” was flat and unchanging.

Stayed up late (for me) so I could sneak this last read into November. Tomorrow Shannon can deal with the lack of sleep.

This was a solid witchy romance that had plenty of steam and heart but also focused on witchy politics! Fun, easy and plenty of heart!

3.5/5

Leanne is ready to stop helping St. Claire's politicians sounds good and earn a seat on the city council herself. Trevor is currently aimless, not really sure what to do with his life, but when he and Leanne meet, Leanne is sure a marriage of convenience will clean up her image perfectly.

This was a pretty steamy romance, but my favorite part was the witch politics.

Clare-Dragonfly Witch politics sound great. I see this is the third in a series—do the others have witch politics? 2y
sebrittainclark @Clare-Dragonfly I didn't actually realize this was the third book in the series until after I started reading it, so I'm not sure how much that shows up in the first two books. 2y
Clare-Dragonfly I see 😂 2y
