"In this high-tension domestic drama, nothing is as it seems. Dont look away, you wont want to miss a thing! J.T. Ellison, USA TODAY bestselling author of Her Dark Lies "Garza establishes herself once again as a master of domestic suspense . . . a pitch-perfect thriller. Mindy Mejia, bestselling author of Everything You Want Me To Be From the author of When I Was You comes a spine-tingling new thriller about a mothers worst nightmare come true, when her teenage daughter goes to a sleepover and doesnt come back. Whitney had some misgivings when she dropped her increasingly moody teenage daughter, Amelia, off at Laurens house. Shed never met the parents, and usually shed go in, but Amelia clearly wasnt going to let something so humiliating happen, so instead Whitney waved to her daughter before pulling away from the little house with the roses in front. But when she goes back the next day, an elderly couple answers the doorAmelia and Lauren arent there, and this couple swears they never were, that shes at the wrong house. As Whitney searches for Amelia, she uncovers a trail of lies her daughter has told herfrom the Finsta account to rumors of a secret relationship. Does she really even know this girl shes raised? And Amelias not the only one with secrets. Could Whitneys own demons have something to do with her daughters disappearance, and can Whitney find her before its too late?

AMAZING. Loved this book so much I couldn‘t put it down. I finished it in one day 😅 the plot was suspenseful and kept you guessing. Not super predictable like some mystery/suspense books.

2¾⭐

Not much to say here…you may have read in other reviews that this is implausible and/or over-the-top, and sadly, I‘m in total agreement with them. It also relies heavily on one heck of a coincidence. It was disappointing since I really liked her debut When I Was You.

Booksarelifeaddict I really enjoyed when I was you! And was hoping this one would be just as good! 3y
AudiobookingWithLeah @Booksarelifeaddict I'm going to have to say no, it isn't as good. I wanted it to be as good as the first, too 3y

I was a bit bored at times with this one, but it was interesting towards the end. I felt like I didn‘t get enough answers though!

WHERE I LEFT HER
I really enjoyed this book. I think it had all the things I like in a thriller. It kept me wanting to know what was going on. Except I did figure out part of what Whitney did. Not all of it though. But that just didn't take away from the story for me.
This is a very complex book about a mother/daughter. With a back story of two best friends. When Whitney's daughter, Amelia, goes missing things take a somewhat dark turn.

A moody teenager who had changed the past few months and an overnight with a friend didn't turn out well.
