So fun fact, a week & a half ago I got a Buffy tattoo -by Kelly Doty from InkMaster- & marathoned Buffy through the 10 hour tattoo. We brought up so many things that Katz talks about in this book!
The book- Part watch guide ft academic critiques of gender/race & sexual orientation, part Whedon exposé & part love letter to SMG- is phenomenal & I loved revisiting, & did some necessary introspection on how we separate art from artist.

And because I hate even numbers… one additional fic/nonfic book to add to my faves of the year so I can have 11 of each (which fits for a top 22 of 22 situation - even tho it‘s still an even number total 🙄😬😆)

These were late reads of the year (both read this month) but I enjoyed them so much I needed to include them. 📚💜

Ruthiella That book on Buffy is intriguing! 😍 2y
Eyelit @Ruthiella it was a surprise to me how much I liked it. Heads up tho it‘s not a serious critical or academic review of the show. It‘s more of a nostalgic look back with a side of gossip. Which was apparently just what I needed this month 😆 2y
