My book choice is a little bit more “the world is my oyster mushroom!” I liked the idea of using this prompt to explore the world a little - albeit from my armchair. And as this book is about the wonders of the natural world i thought Cat Stevens “Wild World” would be a nice fit.

Repeats some info from Around the World in 80 Trees, and is less often as brilliantly surprising as that book

Maybe because there‘s so many plants in the world, and the author had to choose the representatives that were—by necessity of the format—more common?

Still, the writing is superbly descriptive, and—if you keep an image search close at hand—you‘re in for a colorful journey. The human-plant connections are also thoroughly explored

Me trying to do an arty shot of my #bookhaul from Unity Books. 😂(No plants were harmed in the making of this photo) The tagged book has so many beautiful illustrations and Aroha has some really thought provoking Maori proverbs for me to learn about.
