This graphic novel caught my eye because of the similarities between Rebecca/Lucie and my own daughter/granddaughter. I bought it as a Mother's Day present, but I couldn't not read it before giving it!
It's pleasant enough, but not a masterpiece.

This short graphic novel was a lot of fun and pretty adorable. Girard reimagines his wife, Rebecca, as an amateur sleuth, investigating the disappearance of a neighbor while on maternity leave.
Hope we have more Rebecca and Lucie cases to look forward to. The ending of this one seemed to hint at the possibility of another.
Super cute - if a dastardly crime(?) can be cute. 😄
This was such a cute graphic novel! The author inserts his family into a fictional mystery investigation lead by his wife, an amateur private eye. It‘s “a maternity leave mystery that centers on a new mother in all her post-partum glory.”
Thank you for putting this in my path, @jlhammar ! My library had a copy and it was a delight. #graphicnovel #canada #french

As her maternity leave is coming to an end, Rebecca decides to investigate the disappearance of a neighbour. In between fitness workouts with other new mothers, & trial periods for her daughter Lucie at daycare, Rebecca & Lucie take transit around Montreal to follow clues & question suspects. A warm, quirky mystery in graphic novel format, illustrated in bright watercolour washes. Translation by Aleshia Jensen. #Canadian #comics
Are some people actually this clueless? I guess so.
A mother with her new infant — a good reason to be up in the middle of the night, seeing something possibly nefarious in her alley.
