Fire up the flatiron and break out the bulletproof blow-dryer, because Marla Shorethe sassy, South Florida beauty salon owner with a knack for fixing hair and finding troubleis back. . . . Beauty shows are not always known for cold-blooded murder, but thats exactly the case when Luxor Products company director Christine Parks is found dead in her hotel roomfacedown in a foot bath. It does not take long into Marlas investigation to discover that everyone who worked with Christine had a reason to hate her. From serial cheating to indulging in blackmail and bad investment advice, she was a walking Bad Hair Day, and the list of possible suspects is longer than a pop divas hair extensions. And when a model with top-secret information for Marla turns up dead, things go from bad to worse in a hurry. Behind the thumping house music and dazzling, high-platform hair tricks of Floridas hottest beauty show, something very ugly is going down, something that goes beyond polish and style to the killer-takes-all ambition of the beauty biz. If Marla is not careful, she just may end up on the wrong end of a murderers very skillful hands . . .

Enjoying a brief respite from mommyhood for a few hours thanks to my wonderful husband. Just spent my pedicure time catching up on Litsy posts and welcoming new Littens thanks to the tireless efforts of @LitsyWelcomeWagon ! I‘ve missed you all ... still reading; I just couldn‘t be on Litsy as much as I would have liked this past week! Happy Sunday to all!

The best part of a pedicure is reading. Am I the only person that doesn‘t like getting them? I HATE the file {shudder}, so I tell them not to do that and they look at me like I‘m missing out on the best part. Lol 😂😂 #justlikethefinishedproduct

BookNAround But you still get them. I‘m so skeeved out by feet and the whole process (including having my feet touched at all) that I do not get them ever. 7y
Kappadeemom @BookNAround Well, I live in Georgia where it‘s sandal season 3/4 of the year and I wear open toed shoes to work sometimes, so I have to have them. But, I don‘t find them relaxing for sure! 7y
BookNAround @Kappadeemom I live in North Carolina and just spend that 3/4 of the year in denial. I‘ve decided that keeping toenails very short is enough. 7y

Kappadeemom @BookNAround 😂😂👍 7y
rubyslippersreads I get them because I love the results, but I don't really enjoy the process. The only good parts are being able to sit and read, and the hot paraffin wax treatment. 😊 7y
danibolahood I'm with you - not only do I dislike pedicures but I also hate massages. I have a bubble and I do not like other people in my bubble lol 7y
LitsyOwl I‘m with you too. I do not enjoy them at all. 7y
