pickThis was more murder mystery than I was expecting, but that didn't bother me. There were some heavy subjects in it, so definitely check for trigger warnings. I thoroughly enjoyed the magical realism elements to it as well and the love story. Made me want to check out other books by the author.
pickI loved this book. There are a lot of different aspects to iit: mystery, magic, romance, family secrets. It didn't take me long to read because I enjoyed it so much. I found myself trying to tell all my family members about the book without spoiling it, but it was a struggle. There were a lot of tough subjects talked about in the story, but those things added a lot of depth to it.
I read this as an ARC, but this is my honest review.
