Feeding the Soul (Because It's My Business)
Feeding the Soul (Because It's My Business): Finding Our Way to Joy, Love, and Freedom | Tabitha Brown
11 posts | 10 read | 5 to read
Actress, vegan superstar, and "America's Mom" Tabitha Brown offers inspirational life lessons in her warm, charismatic voice. Tabitha Brown's path to stardom was a long and winding one. For years she pursued acting while raising a family and dealing with undiagnosed chronic autoimmune pain. Before she became vegan, her condition made her believe she wouldn't live to see forty. Now she's one of the most popular personalities in the world, with millions of followers on social media whom she inspires to live and eat well with her blend of homespun wisdom and delicious home cooking. With her relatable personality and health struggles, approachable and nonjudgmental take on plant-based living, and warm voice reflecting her Southern upbringing, Tabitha connects with readers with a good story and gentle hand. The most important lesson Tabitha shares with readers is how to make a life for themselves that is rooted in kindness and love, both for themselves and for others. Tabitha doesn't just spout inspirational platitudes. She roots her lessons in stories about her own life, career, faith, and family in this down-to-earth book, all structured around Tab's catchphrases that her fans know and love, including: Hello There!: Introduction, and why hope, joy, and clarity are so very needed That's Your Business: Defining yourself, and being okay with that Have the Most Amazing Day...: Choosing joy and living with intention But Don't Go Messin' Up No One Else's: Learning to walk in kindness even when the world doesn't feel kind Like So, Like That: Living life without measurement Very Good: Living in peace and creating good from the bad Rich with personal stories and inspirational quotes, and sprinkled with a few easy vegan recipes, Feeding the Soul will be eagerly embraced by Tabitha's legion of adoring fans. Readers will return to this comforting book whenever they want to feel seen, loved, and heard--and they'll share it with family and friends, too.

At first I think I tried listening to this book too fast, and it‘s almost like when you eat dessert too fast—it‘s really good at first but then it becomes too rich. The author had so much wisdom to share! So then I slowed down a bit and it was really good to savor. I would definitely recommend this book, particularly the audiobook! She just has lots of wise thoughts and stories that help orient yourself towards love and joy.

The audiobook was wonderful. It was like having Tabitha in your kitchen hanging out with you. Loved her common sense wisdom, sensible advice, and vegan recipes. Liked the quotes she opened each chapter with as well.

Awesome! Everything I had hoped it would be. I did the audiobook so it was like having a conversation with one of your great aunties. So much #wisdom shared in this book. #healthy

Friends, this woman is a pure light in this world. I discovered her last year and will watch anything she does. Tabitha posts vegan recipes on social media but does so with such warmth and personality that I find irresistible. I know there‘s so many of these “positivity” influencers out there but Tab feels so genuine and she‘s such an inspiration to me. Trust me, seek this woman out in any form you can: book, online, wherever! Continued below 👇

Chelsea.Poole I realized I gushed about Tab and didn‘t mention the book at all 😆 So, the book is a great introduction to her philosophy on life interspersed with tidbits about her past and how she got where she is now. She includes a recipe at the end of each chapter. Also, she doesn‘t shove the vegan thing down your throat in the book, I felt. There‘s actually very little about it in the book. Loved it because I love her so much! 🍋 3y
