pickLoved it. There were some annoying things (as seen in other reviews) but they got resolved. Both characters are nominally bi, but it‘s just a mention and then never factors in again. I love the Spanish dialogue, which is mostly explained if not translated, but it gives me a chance to practice. Daria is becoming an autobuy author for me.
bailedNot bad, just not for me. The sex so early on kind of killed it for me. And I'd read that both characters were bi but it hadn't come up yet at 20% in so that was a bit disappointing.
Just as fun and enjoyable as You Had Me at Hola. Michelle and Gabe were long ago friends who are giving it a second chance to mainly work things through. This aspect of their history was very well done and really made me feel the connection. There is also some family stuff which brought in some feels. I adore the primas and can‘t wait to see who‘s next.
bailedâ¤ï¸ the 1st book. Disappointed this wasn‘t as good. Stopped reading after ch 4. Didn‘t like: 1) how deceitful Michelle was w/Gabe. Forcing him to stay at her place. Then lying and forcing him to stay at her parents, next door to his parents. She could‘ve just asked him why he left years ago instead of lying and manipulating. She‘s 30, grow up! 2) Gabe going along w/Michelle‘s change of plans and trying to avoid his parents. He‘s 30, grow up!
It‘s said that when you read a spicy book like A Lot Like Adios, the steaminess of it burns off enough calories so that you can indeed have Black Forest cake for breakfast.
pickI loved how Mich and Gabe has a connection in their youth that they never acted upon. As adults, they could no longer skirt around their attraction. A lot of assumptions had to be waded through to truly understand what the other went through.

Another great book in this series. Childhood friends, Michelle and Gabe are both feeling stuck in their lives. When they re-enter each other's worlds, they're both forced to really look at their lives and what they really want.
so-soPredictable, unbelievable, the writing fell somewhat flat for me.
pickAnother lovable romance from Alexis Daria following former friends who find the flame is still very much alive when they're reunited for work. A bit steamier than I remember You Had Me at Hola being, but still so feisty and fun without too, too much drama. And both of the leads are bi! We love to see it.
Finally got my girl back for a 3 week training intensive and she has a respiratory infection so we're settling in for a day of snuggling

pickThis was a delightful, steamy rom-com. A second chance romance with a lot of fun family and friends as well. This is the 2nd in a series of standalones. You do not need to read book 1 to read this one. I think this is actually the better of the two. 4.5âï¸

pickMy friend gave me her ARC to read and WOW. I enjoyed You Had Me at Hola, but I loved this one. Friends to lovers AND pretend dating tropes. This was so much fun.
