This is another one of those Amazon First Reads books I got years ago but am now finally reading it. I‘m 12% into but I‘m loving the historical 1930s traveling carnival vibe.
so-soThis is above so-so but below 🤘 I love the African lore and as much as I like the characters I felt there were too many for the story. The ending was too quick and convenient but leading up to that I really liked.

pickThis book is mesmerizing and engulfing. I never make time for myself to read more than a chapter every few days, but I put everything aside to finish this book in 2 days. Engaging characters , a paranormal carnival and rich with regional African lore and beliefs. An absolute must read!
