pickAlways here for an Anastasia story, especially one that doesn't exonerate or condemn EITHER the Romanovs or the Bolsheviks. It was lovely to see Anya and Zhenya slowly learn that their original worldviews weren't the full picture, and that the most important part of a revolution is rebuilding when it's over. Well, wasn‘t expecting to challenge myself to read a book a day until Christmas in the hopes that I will have shelf space for new books… but can‘t say I‘m surprised. Daughters of a Dead Empire was pretty interesting but I found myself appreciating the history and time period more than anything else. Definitely going to give this one some thought before I actually write a review
