Another farmers‘ market today, and I managed to restrain myself to only getting one book from the friends of the library sale because I was down to my last $2 of cash (though I learned after the fact that they now take debt or credit cards - this could be dangerous in the future! 😆). I also got some macrons, bath salts, a couple free local magazines, and (not pictured) a cold brew latte and frozen chocolate banana. Not from the market - the apron

I would have read this book 100 times if I had had it in middle or high school! I've never seen such a frank, realistic peek into the world of teenage girl sexuality. It was rad! It tackles some serious topics while mainly keeping it light. Loved how little drama there was between the girls themselves - mostly just support and encouragement. I'll be keeping my eye on this author in the future. I listened to the audio and recommend it.

This was a light and quick YA read about 4 senior girls who make a pact to lose their virginity by graduation day. There is nothing earth shattering here, and I found myself wanting to skim through some of the dialogue, but I like that it was sex positive and that they were so matter of fact about masturbation and condom usage and exporting sexuality being different for everyone.

Despite the fact that being sick keeps me in bed and gives me ample opportunity to read, it also zaps my concentration and makes it soooo hard to read! I was feeling better last night and finally made a dent in my current read. #currentlyreading

Well Littens, I "finished" it. I think the premise was cool but the ensemble cast and the speed at which we enter d the conversation/pact didn't work very well for me.

I did love how sex positive the book was and what that meant, especially for the lesbian character as she discovered her own wants and needs.

...not winning me over. Ensemble POV and entire first chapter = description of each of the ensemble members. Sticking with it for now because of reviews and potential sex positivity, but looking for a reason to stop, maybe. Anyone else read it yet?
