I‘m super behind on my #MtCookbook posts! I made these brownies back at the beginning of Feb and they were pretty good! I did use a different size pan (I think they would have been too thin if I used the size in the recipe) so they needed a lot longer in the oven but otherwise worked well!

My seventh recipe done!

Well a #MtCookbook week 4 flop! This is the second or third recipe I‘ve made from this book and for some reason they fail for me!
I thought these would be a fun, quick afternoon project. Whip them up and bake 25-29 min. Not so much! They came together easily, but they baked and they baked and they baked! I check every few minutes (as things can turn from batter to overdone in the blink of an eye), but it just kept coming out batter. I lost track…

Yesterday one kid graduated, tomorrow the other one starts finals. First up math which…is not his favorite…So, to make it a little more bearable for himself and everyone else, he‘s baking Snickerdoodles for the class. (There may be 100 cookies in the book but the snickerdoodles are a particular favorite!) Not a bad way to start four days of final exams. Not bad at all…

I love this book so much! But we always go for cookie number 1&2. Feeling adventurous today and plumping for number 52!

I checked this one out from the library again and the ribbon bookmarked our favorite recipe, as if nobody else had checked out the book since! 😆

Kitchen Sink cookies are so good and I‘m not the huge cookie fan my husband and kids are - they gobble them up. Kieffer‘s recipe contains pretzels and potato chips so the salt balances the sweet butterscotch chips.

I HINTED about this cookbook and another to my kids. We‘ll see if I get any results. 😜

I promised myself I‘d bake through this book 1-100! But I seem stuck on number one! The soft chewy Chocolate chunk cookies are divine!

Second batch from this book. They aren‘t as photogenic as the chocolate ones and require pan banging for the cookies to spread. My son loved them because they are so sweet - I could only eat part of one, but liked the variety of flavors & textures. Fussy baking in they have to be rotated once & banged once and then fully cooled on the baking sheet. (I gave up on that last bit because the recipe makes a boat load and I was ready to be done!)

Seems like a hot summer day isn‘t one to bake on, but here I am anyway. I surely wouldn‘t without air conditioning.

Thank you @LeahBergen for posting this book! Egads…..now I want it. There are a lot of cookie books out there, but the bars in this one have caught my attention. These and the grapefruit fruit bars look so tempting. 🤩

#JohnnyBergen is helping me to choose my first recipe from this really pretty cookbook. 😉 I think we‘ve found a winner!

I love to bake and this book gives me plenty to test. First up were oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. The author uses her pan-banging technique, which requires dropping the pan every couple of minutes at the end to crisp up and almost carmelize the cookies. Library staff loved them. While tasty, I prefer my oatmeal cookies fluffy. Next up: Mixed Berry Crumble Bars.

Love this book. Perfect cookie every time. Today‘s cookie - soft and chewy chocolate chip. Made 22 - but Mr K said they were best eaten warm so only needed to box 15!
