so-soThis book is full of Irish lore and language, snatches of poetry and gorgeous descriptions of the countryside. In theory I should love it, and while I did enjoy the basic storyline, I thought the entire work was too wordy for the simple storyline it contained. I found myself skimming over a lot of material. So while I give it 3 stars for the nugget of goodness at the center, the wrapping was unsatisfying.
