From the USA TODAY bestselling author of Behind Every Lie and The Night Olivia Fell comes an unforgettable and heart-wrenching novel about the lengths one woman will go to save her son. Emma loves her life. She's the mother of a precocious kindergartener, married to her soulmate--a loyal and loving police detective--and has a rewarding career as a doctor at the local hospital. But everything comes crashing down when her son, Josh, is diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Determined to save him, Emma makes the risky decision to sell opioids to fund the life-saving treatment he needs. But when somebody ends up dead, a lethal game of cat and mouse ensues, her own husband leading the chase. With her son's life hanging in the balance, Emma is dragged into the dark world of drugs, lies, and murder. Will the truth catch up to her before she can save Josh? A timely and moving exploration of a town gripped by the opioid epidemic, and featuring Christina McDonald's signature "complex, emotionally intense" (Publishers Weekly) prose, Do No Harm examines whether the ends ever justify the means...even for a desperate mother.

DO NO HARM by Christina McDonald
This book is another WOW from Christina McDonald. How she can take a book and make it hit you deep in your chest. Right in the heart. Make you feel like you are right there. Like you are that main character. It's what makes a book great and this book is great.
5/5 huge stars.

Do No Harm is very intense in a good way. There are so many lies and manipulations throughout the book. Do No Harm shows how easy it is to start an addiction and the effects of addiction. Do No Harm shows how many people can be effected by one wrong decision.

Thank you Gallery Books, Kathleen Carter Communications, and NetGalley for Do No Harm.

Wow, such a thought-provoking story. Asking the tough questions...like how far will a doctor/mom/wife-of-a-cop go to save her son, who has leukemia, go? Does the end justify the means? And when do you say enough is enough? Could you see yourself going to these extremes? Basically, this shit was crazy AF and this woman is ruthless when it comes to her son.

New ARC to read this weekend

angel1 Loved this one!! 4y
Kappadeemom What would you do to save your son who has cancer? Well, if you are a doctor, you might sell a little Oxy on the side in order to pay the medical bills. Except the doctor is married to a cop who is investing the opioid crisis. This book really brings to light the choices that are made when we would do anything to survive. A real exploration of the opioid crisis in our country. 4y
