Up next...some Gloria Gaynor....I Will Survive!
Can you tell I'm in a mood.... ?
Sorry, my #LitsyPartyofOne is starting musically.
I found another classic for my new-to-me old record player. I bought it for .49 just for Harper Valley PTA, the first song I knew as a FU song sung by woman as a child. 😂 Love the memories! And imagine my surprise when I pulled it out and put it on today and the slip cover was signed! 😁
What was the first song you realized was a bit subversive and pointed, and loved it even more once you realized it?

Last book I completed for the month of March at 11:58 PM. I love vinyl and stories about vinyl. Good read and a great trip down memory lane!
Fan of Questlove's memoir?! THIS is right up ur alley! Only 60 pages in and loving it. The passion with which the author describes his love for music (and his records) will make you nostalgic for all the songs that once helped you through significant times in ur life.
Maybe you find your dead dad in the Mardi Gras parade. The thing you thought was lost forever, that part of yourself that just disappeared, that vanished when you weren't paying attention, maybe you chased it down and kept running until you cornered it in a back alley and you managed to get it back
Current read: I'm loving this book! '"Are you looking for anything in particular?" she asked. - I guess the answer is I want the old thrill back, the adrenaline rush of hunting for music the way it's supposed to be hunted for.' ~Eric Spitznagel.
