This novel gets a little bogged down during some of the courtroom stuff in the middle, and the resolution feels a bit slapdash, but overall it's a fun listen. It's cute how Connelly weaves the days leading up to the pandemic shutdown into the story. Gotta say, though, I got a jury summons recently and these courtroom dramas don't help me feel enthusiastic about possibly sitting on a jury. Why must cornerstones of democracy be so mind-numbing?
