2nd book in the series. I very much enjoyed it and am looking forward to book 3. Fantasy with strong female protagonists, shapeshifters, lots of different magic abilities, and nonstop action.

I love this book! The characters are so direct to each other it‘s hilarious and reminds me my family. The family dynamics in this book are so honest and I really enjoy that. The stark differences between the good guys and the bad guys make it an easy read.
Volume two focuses on Gemma, the younger sister and war monk. She's been my favourite in the first book, and even more now. Also, this book is a mess. And it fits that much, that is is something absolutely positive. Loved it from the first sentence all over again. This family is just so much fun. Book three, please. Now? Now!

I wanted to post a review, but then Rossa decided it was her time using the e-reader now. I wonder what she's going to read 😁📖

I loved everything about this book. I swear, no matter the name she‘s writing under, GA Aiken can do no wrong! The crazy characters, the love of family - even though some are more outlandish than others, the drama that always ensues and has me laughing out loud. And then she brings back one of my favorite characters of all time?!?!?
50% through this one and not really impressed. I finished the first one this week and didn‘t much enjoy that one either. I think one thing I‘ve realized this year is that I have gotten much pickier with my fantasy novels. There needs to be good world building and character development in them for me to like them. This one lacks both to be honest.
The Princess Knight was somehow everything and nothing like what I expected all at the same time. I knew that Gemma's story would be quite different from Keeley's adventure, but I don't think I could ever have imagined just how much. Gemma is War Monk, a religious sect dedicated to taking down their foes. Naturally, that in itself says a lot about Gemma. But it is far from her whole story, as I quickly learned upon diving into The Princess Knight.
The Princess Knight is the perfect followup to The Blacksmith Queen. I love that this novel picked up right where the last one left off, jumping right back into the fierce fighting and amazing action. I like how this one follows Gemma on her adventures and quests as opposed to Keeley, but I also like that Keeley. The descriptive language is bloody spectacular, quite literally, and the action is entertaining and often funny, as are the characters.
I totally forgot that I won this ARC through BookishFirst until it arrived in the mail along with this nifty pin! 😀 This is a fantasy-paranormal-romance and it looks really good! 💕📚 #bookmail
