Angels on Toast | Dawn Powell

Dawn Powell is a little known and extremely underrated writer. She was part of the literary Greenwich Village from 1920s through the 60s. Her books were out of print before she died. They were reprinted later. I would describe her as a cross between Edith Wharton and F. Scott Fitzgerald but she really was very unique. I would have not known about her if not for a mention by Rory Gilmore on the Gilmore Girls. Check her out! #recommendsday
