A Unicorn Named Sparkle by Amy Young is a great RF-RA picture book about a little girl who sees an ad in a magazine for a .25 cent unicorn! Little does she know everything is completely unexpected.. This is a great story for ESOL strategies: encourage self talk positive thinking, simplify your speech by making it slower and redundant, and place language in meaningful context. #UCFLAE3414SP21

Spearsall continued: UDL strategy 7.2 is used “optimize relevance, value, and authenticity”. http://aunicornnamedsparkle.com This website includes all of the detailed required to understand and know A Unicorn Named Sparkle🤩🦄 4y

AndreaEfres I‘d love using your post as inspiration for my own books. Thank you for sharing ESOL related content, it is increasingly helpful for us to relate to this content as well! 4y

Vanvlieta Looks like an adorable book! I think the ESOL strategy “simplify your speech” would be a great way for our ELL‘s to grasp what is being read🤩 4y
Chaseb I think you did a great job and included great UDL strategies. I‘m hoping to get this boom for my classroom! 4y

Another installment of the Unicorn sagas I share with my nieces. Sparkle is a Unicorn like no other because he‘s a goat. However this does not deter his adoring little girl from loving him (after awhile) because he is such a spunky and free- spirited beast who does his best to be a good pet. Sparkle‘s adventures are pure fun for everyone!
