This is a fantastic YA read. It has some very heavy topics with so many twists in it. Definitely recommend reading this one! 💫💫💫💫

This one took me a long time to get through, I kept picking it up and putting it back down. The book is amazing, the story is heartbreaking and real and makes me want to wrap Genesis up in a huge hug. The incredibly painful and mature things that this 17 year old has to endure is all too common and I‘m sure several teenagers would be able to relate.
Plans for the night. I'm almost done with my book. 💙
After DNFing two books, I've finally found one that's got me in the mood to read. 💙
I should be cleaning, instead I‘m starting another book. 🤷🏻♀️
August was a slower reading month, but it was still a good one.
This is next on the list! Sometimes I have a hard time reading plays.. but I will give it a whirl!
This book has my heart. It is so fiercely awesome.
I don't often read YA but I picked up this book for its mature themes (abortion, death of a parent) and the quality of the writing and strength of the characters really impressed me. It's a sad but hopeful story of a teenage woman in the throes of heartbreak and pain. Pipkin does a wonderful job sharing first love heartbreak. This book is great.
I'm fine.
I'm fine.
I'm fine.
Say it three times, and make it come true.
I received Aftercare instructions in my June Parnassus Next box, and even though it's on the controversial topic of abortion, Parnassus has really earned my trust with always picking a solid book and I can't wait to read it. It is also getting great reviews on Goodreads. I think the world needs books like this and am looking forward to getting to it soon.
It was a good book. I don't really know how to review this one... I enjoyed the characters. It was a very fast read. I love ya contemporary. The writing was very beautiful, I'm very jealous of her writing. It could be controversial and I'm not here to make a judgement on Genesis decisions, or anybody's for that matter. I mostly enjoyed the book, I don't know what else to say besides that...
"Look this is how I see it. Two people meet randomly on a roof ledge one night. A roof ledge! So, do they jump off together or do they just retreat back into their holes?"
What a perfect line, I can't figure out how to use it in real live but it's lovely. ?
Omg! This book was so good. I am so glad I impulsively downloaded as soon as I saw the ad for it this morning. Read this book.
My happy place. Also started Aftercare Instructions today. I hadn't heard of it and saw an ad on Goodreads this morning comparing it to Rainbow Rowell's and I was sold. I can't believe I didn't know about this book before. I'm really enjoying it.
This is my cover of the week! Looked up the book on Goodreads and it tackles some difficult topics but got great reviews. What are you reading today?

I so enjoyed this book! I've never read a YA contemporary that tackled abortion before, but it handled it so well! This is a story of healing, grief, and learning to cope with life's curveballs. Full review at http://howlinglibraries.com!
Starting this #ARC today since it releases Tuesday. I love this cover!
I wanted more from this book, but it's not bad. The premise is solid YA -- a high schooler gets left by her boyfriend after an emotionally taxing procedure at Planned Parenthood. Feelings and youthful reactions follow as relationships shift. The thing that didn't work for me was the feeling that the MC needed a boy in her life to fix things, but the relationships and reactions felt true, so I'd give it a read if the premise catches your attention.
This book was so good and real. I absolutely loved it and all the emotions it made me feel. Anger, sadness, a sense of hope. Definitely check it out!
I received this book for free on GoodReads. This book opens with a sensitive topic-a teenaged girl has had an abortion and her boyfriend has abandoned her at the clinic. Her father has also recently died from a heroin overdose, her mother is suicidal. There's a lot going on, but she spends the majority of the book pining after the a-hole who left her at the clinic. Writing is good, but I felt this book could have dealt with more important issues.
Been on my TBR for awhile. Comes out later this month. Excited to get to it! 📚☀️😀
Morning delivery from Flatiron Books. It sounds so good! And appears to be New Adult that isn't necessarily a romance.
I blurbed this pretty, pretty ARC!! I hope it's on your radar because this is going to be a GREAT release!
This one is super future release but I know Bonnie and I've heard her read from the manuscript and I just can't wait any longer.
